The Rostock Cultural History Museum
The Rostock Cultural History Museum is located in the historic Convent of the Holy Cross, Rostock’s Cistercian nunnery founded in 1270.
The museum houses an extensive collection of art and cultural history and is one of the most important places documenting the history of the culture of the middle class in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The city museum was founded in 1859 and houses collections of paintings, drawings, the applied arts, coins, furniture, militaria, objects of everyday life and archaeology.
